I received a phone call from one of our team chaplains last week. He wanted to share a testimony of our chapel program with me and I would like to share it with you on the blog. So here it is. The team was scheduled to have chapel after practice on a Tuesday. Some of our chaplains provide lunch for the players after their practice and pizza is always a good but kind of expensive choice. But pizza was on the menu for that day and was to be picked up at 12:15 by the chaplain for the chapel. Well the chaplain was at a job in a city about 35 minutes away and left his cell phone in his car while on the job. When we was ready to leave the job to pick up the pizza he had a text on his phone saying that practice was over earlier than  normal and that  the players were going to wait for him. At that time the chaplain was 35 minutes away from the rink , had to pick up the pizza and was extremely low on gas. Thinking  that most of the players probably wouldn’t wait at the rink, the chaplain started to feel like the chapel wouldn’t happen and he would be left with 3 pizzas to eat by himself. So the chaplain headed to the rink after picking up the pizza and just trusting God that the players would wait and that he wouldn’t run out of gas. When he arrived at the rink there were 10 player waiting eagerly for the chapel and the pizza to be delivered. After the chapel the chaplain head out to his car and he found out he was out of gas in the parking lot. The rink maintance crew provided the chaplain  with some gas to get to a gas station. God is so faithful. All we have to do is show up and be available to Him to work in us.
